Pagpapawalang bisa ng DND sa UP-DND accord suportado ng DILG
Sinuportahan ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang pasya ng Department of National Defense (DND) na ipawalang bisa na ang 1989 UP-DND accord.
Ayon kay DILG – OIC Usec. Bernardo Florece, naging obselete na ang kasunduan at hindi na ito naaayon sa kasalukuyang sitwasyon.
“It was signed way back in 1989, three years after the end of the Marcos dictatorship. The times have changed. The conditions have changed,” ayon kay Florece.
Sang-ayon si Florece sa pahayag ng DND na nagkakaroon ng recruitment sa loob ng UP campuses para maging kasapi ng CPP/NPA/NDF.
Ginagamit aniya ng komunistang grupo ang iba’t ibang front organizations nito para makapag-recruit.
“This fact has been tolerated by the government for a long time out of respect for the agreement,” dagdag ni Florece. (D. Cargullo)
