JTF COVID-19 may bagong commander

Itinalaga ni Philippine National Police Chief, Police General Debold M. Sinas si Police Lieutenant Joselito Vera Cruz bilang bagong commander ng Joint Task Force COVID Shield.

Si Vera Cruz ay itinalaga bilang Deputy Chief for Operations at Task Force Commander na pangunahing nagpapatupad ng quarantine rules at health protocols.

Pinalitan ni Vera Cruz si Police Lieutenant General Cesar Hawthorne R. Binag, na magreretiro sa pwesto sa April 24.

“As the new commander of this task force, I expect P/Lt. Gen. Vera Cruz will continue the plans and programs of the previous commander and enforce strict quarantine rules in the country to mitigate the spread of the virus while waiting for the available vaccines”, ayon kay Sinas.

Ang JTF Covid-19 Shield ay binubuo ng PNP, Armed Forces of the Philippines, ng Philippine Coast Guard, at ng Bureau of Fire Protection.
