9.2M doses ng COVID-19 vaccine darating sa bansa sa 1st at 2nd quarter ng taon ayon sa WHO

Kumpiyansa si World Health Organization (WHO) Representative to the Philippines Dr. Rabindra Abeyasinghe na matatanggap ng Pilipinas ang aabot sa 44 million doses na COVID-19 mula sa COVAX Facility.

Inaasahan kasing darating na sa bansa sa 1st at 2nd quarter ng taon ang unang 9.2 million doses ng bakuna.

Sinabi ni Abeyashinge na “on track” ang Pilipinas sa pagkumpleto ng requirements.

“When all of those requirements are met and we believe that the Philippines is on track to do that, we are looking potentially at a maximum of 9.2 million doses coming through the COVAX facility by March or April of this year. We are optimistic that the remainder of the 44 million doses will come later on in the year,” ayon kay Abeyasinghe.

Tiniyak naman ni Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III, na nakakamit ng Pilipinas ang timetable nito para maihanda ang mga cold-chain facilities at manpower.

Ani Duque, kasama ding pinaghahandaan ang deployment at vaccination plan ng Local Government Units.

Layon nitong masigurong walang masasayang sa COVID-19 immunization program ng pamahalaan.
