Pagsasampa ng kaso vs Senators Villanueva, Estrada, Rep. Co at iba pang personalidad inirekomenda ng NBI

Inirekomenda na ng National Bureau of Investigation ang pagsasampa ng kaso laban sa mga itinuturong sangkot sa maanimalyang flood control projects kabilang ang ilang incumbent at dating mambabatas.

Kabilang respondents ay si Bulacan first district engineer Henry Alcantara, si Senators Joel Villanueva at Jinggoy Estrada, Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co, dating Department of Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo, at Caloocan Rep. Mitch Cajayon.

Ayon kay Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, sa kaso ang graft and corruption, indirect bribery, at malversation of public funds.

Kinumpirma din ni Remulla na naglabas na ng freeze order ang Anti-Money Laundering Council sa mga assets ni Villanueva, Estrada, Co, Cajayon, Alcantara at dating DPWH Usec. Roberto Bernardo.

Sa pagdinig ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee isiniwalat ni Alcantara na 25 percent ang kickback ng mga nabanggit na indibidwal, sa mga flood control project. (DDC)
