Resignation ni Napolcom Commissioner Edilberto Leonardo tinanggap ni Pang. Marcos

Tinanggap na ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang pagbibitiw sa puwesto ni National Police Commission Commissioner Edilberto Leonardo.

Ito ay matapos maghain ng resignation si Leonardo nang mabanggit sa pagdinig sa House of Representatives quad committee na siya ang nag-utos na patayin si Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Board Secretary Wesley Barayuga at tatlong Chinese drug convicts.

Base sa liham ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin kay DILG Secretary Juanito Victor Remulla, sinabi nitong tinanggap na ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang resignation ni Leonardo.

“This refers to the letter dated October 4, 2023 of Mr. Edilberto Delaa FCruz Leonardo, tendering his resignation as Commssioner, Representing the Law Enforcement Sector, National police Commission, Department of the Interior and Local Government. On behalh of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., this is to inform you that his resignation has been accepted effective immediatel,” saad ng liham ni Beramin kay Remulla.

Nasa ilalim ng DILG ang tanggapan ng Napolcom.

Wala pa namang anunsyo ang Presidential Communications Office kung sino ang ipapalit sa puwesto ni Leonardo. (CY)
