Pang. Marcos nais na agad maselyohan ang ugnayan ng Pilipinas at UAE sa Nuclear Energy
Umaasa si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na agad na maselyohan ang partnership ng Pilipinas at United Arab Emirates sa nuclear energy.
Sa courtesy call ni Mohamed Al Hammadi, chairman at chief executive officer ng Emirates Nuclear Energy Corp. (ENEC) sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na naghahanap ang Pilipinas ng dagdag na nuclear energy.
“This is a subject that we have been talking about for a long time. And especially after the pandemic, I’m trying to figure out what are the needs of the government,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos Hammadi
“And this had become a very high priority topic. I hope we can find ways to help each other in this,” dagdag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Matatandaan na noong Hunyo 27 hanggang 29, bumisita sa UAE sina First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, Pangasinan Rep. Mark Cojuangco, Special Envoy to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, Special Envoy to China for Trade, Investments and Tourism Benito Techico, Maharlika Investment Corp. president Rafael Consing Jr., at Ambassador Alfonso Ver at nakipagpulong sa ENEC officials.
Nakasaad sa International Declaration to Triple Nuclear Energy na palakasin pa ang global nuclear energy capacity pagsapit ng taong 2050. (CY)
