SILG umaasang maaayos ng Taguig at Makati ang isyu sa parke sa EMBO

Inihayag ni Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary, Atty. Benjamin C. Abalos, Jr. ang kanyang pag-asa na maaayos na ng Taguig at Makati ang insidente sa parke sa EMBO.

“I’m hopeful that the Taguig and Makati incident regarding the park would be settled.”

Umaasa rin ang kalihim na magkaroon ng pag-uusap sa dalawang alkalde upang klaruhin ang mga isyu at mabigyang linaw ang kani-kanilang posisyon sa nasabing usapin.

Kaugnay nito, inatasan ni Abalos sina National Capital Region Police (NCRPO) Regional Director, Police Major General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr. at Southern Police District (SPD) Director, Police Brigadier General Mark Danglait Pespes upang tiyakin ang katahimikan at kaayusan sa lugar.

Sa utos ng DILG Chief, nagdeploy ng Philippine National Police (PNP) platoon para sa seguridad sa naturang lugar.

“I believe both mayors have good intentions, with the best interest of their constituencies in mind. In any case, regardless of this dispute, our overriding goal is that public services shall remain unhampered,” pahayag ni Abalos. (Bhelle Gamboa)
