Pang. Marcos iniutos ang paggunita sa “Community Development Week” at “Community Development Day” kada taon

Para mapalakas pa ang Bayanihan Spirit sa bansa, inaprubahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang Memorandum Circular No. 41 na nag-aatas sa lahat ng government agencies at humihikayat sa local government units na gunitain ang “Community Development Week” at “Community Development Day” tuwing unang linggo ng Enero kada taon.

Batay sa Memorandum Circular No. 41 na nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin noong Enero 3, nais ni Pangulong Marcos na panatilihing buhay ang diwa ng Bayanihan Spirit at pahalagahan ang pagtutulungan sa komunidad.

Inaatasan ang Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa pakikipagtulungan ng Non-Government at People’s Organizations na pangunahan ang mga aktibidad at programa para sa taunang “Community Development Week” at “Community Development Day.”

“All national government agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned or -controlled corporations, government financial institutions, and state universities and colleges are hereby directed, and all local government units are encouraged, to extend full support for, and cooperation in, the conduct of relevant activities and programs during the annual celebration of the Community Development Week and Community Development Day,” saad ng dalawang pahinang Memorandum Circular.

Layunin ng proklamasyon na kilalanin ang ambag ng gobyerno at non-government organizations sa development ng local communities, people empowerment at community mobilization. (Chona Yu)
