MMDA, Angkas, at Joyride Ph namahagi ng grocery packs sa mga riders sa QC
Sa diwa ng Pasko, ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) kasama ang ride-hailing companies na Angkas at Joyride Philippines ay namahagi ng grocery packs sa mga motorcycle rider sa dalawang lugar sa Quezon City.
Ang aktibidad ay pinangunahan nina MMDA Acting Chairman Atty. Don Artes, Assistant General Manager for Operations Asec. David Angelo Vargas, Traffic Discipline Office Director for Enforcement Atty. Victor Nuñez, Special Operations Group-Strike Force Officer-in-Charge Gabriel Go at mga kinatawan ng Angkas at Joyride PH.
Ayon kay Atty. Don Artes, ang aktibidad ay parte ng “ticket or treat” project ng ahensiya na layuning ibalik sa mga disiplinadong motorcycle riders na sumusunod sa mga batas trapiko at regulasyon.
“We will apprehend riders who are violating traffic rules and regulations but we will also give them grocery packages for the Christmas season,” sabi ni Chair Artes.
Sumama rin sina 1 Rider Partylist Representatives Bonifacio Bosita at Rodge Gutierrez sa gift-giving activity at nagpakita ng suporta sa proyekto ng ahensiya upang siguruhin ang kaligtasan ng motorcycle riders lalo na ngayong kapaskuhan.
“We are in support of MMDA’s strict implementation of the traffic rules and regulations,” ani Bosita.
Samantala, inaasahan ng MMDA ang pagtaas ng bilang ng nga pasahero na papasok at palabas ng Metro Manila simula December 22.
Kaugnay nito, ang ahensiya katuwang ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Land Transportation Office (LTO) at Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ay mag-iinspeksiyon sa mga bus terminal upang tiyakin ang kaligtasan nv mga pasahero ngayong holiday season.
