NDRRMC bumuo ng El Niño Team

Bumuo na ng “El Niño Team” National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) batay sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Layon ng “El Niño Team” na bantayan ang tagtuyot na makaaapaketo sa bansa sa huling bahagi ng 2023 hanggang sa unang bahagi ng 2024.

Ayon kay Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) Spokesperson Raffy Alejandro, ito ay alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Marcos na magpatupad ng “Whole-of-Government Approach” sa pagtugon sa climate phenomenon.

Kabilang sa mga miyembro ng El Niño team ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Office of Civil Defense (OCD), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), National Irrigation Administration (NIA), at Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS).

Bukod sa mga ito, magiging bahagi rin ng support team ang Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), National Water Resources Board (NWRB), at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). (DDC)
