U.S. Navy tutulong sa oil spill response operations ng pamahalaan

Magpapadala ang U.S. Navy ng Hydros Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) sa Pilipinas para makatulong sa oil spill response operations ng pamahalaan.

Ayon sa U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, ang ROV ay working-class at mayroong full manipulator arms.

Magsisimula ang 10-day Hydros ROV operations ng U.S. Navy sa Apr. 1, 2023.

Maglalaan din ang U.S. Navy ng support equipment, crane at launching system.

Para naman sa booming equipment, ang U.S. Navy Supervisor of Salvage (SUPSALV) ay magsu-suplay ng 1,000 feet ng 26-inch (in height) harbor boom, isang shop van para magsagawa ng maintenance o repairs, isang decontamination van para sa oiled equipment at boom, small shoreline skimmers, isang 23-foot inflatable vessel, isang seven-meter Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB), 3 zodiac boats, small-sized all-terrain forklift, at all-terrain vehicle na may cart.

Magdadala din ang U.S. Navy ng personal protective equipment (PPE) na magagamit sa shoreline response operations.

Nagpasalamat naman si PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio Abu sa U.S. Government sa pag-asiste nit para matugunan ang problema sa oil spill at matulungan ang mga apektadong komunidad. (DDC)
