Kasalang Bayan sa Dumaguete City na idaraos sana sa Feb. 14, ipinagpaliban

Ipinagpaliban ang nakatakdang Kasalang Bayan sa Dumaguete City sa February 14, 2023.

Sa halip na sa Araw ng mga Puso ay sa June 16, 2023 na lamang idaraos ang Kasalang Bayan para mai-accommodate ang iba pang mga nais na humabol sa pagpapakasal.

Ayon kay Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo, hindi na oobligahin ang mga magpapakasal na magbayad ng local fees para makakuha ng marriage license o marriage certificate sa City Hall.

Pinaalalahanan din ni Local Civil Registrar Carlo Cual ang lahat ng live-in couples na magsumite ng mga karampatang dokumento bago mag-May 31, 2023.

Narito ang mga requirements:

1. FOR LIVE-IN COUPLES: birth certificates; Certificate of No Marriage to be obtained from the Philippine Statistics Authority; affidavit of cohabitation to be obtained from the Public Attorney’s Office and Valid IDs.

2. FOR NON-COHABITING PARTIES: birth certificates; valid IDs; advice of parents for persons aging 21-24 years old; consent of parents for persons aging 18-20 years old; pre-marriage and family planning seminar at the POPCOM Office; Certificate of No Marriage from PSA.

3. FOR FOREIGNERS: birth certificates; valid identification card of the contracting parties; advice of parents for persons aging 21-24-years-old; consent of parents for persons aging 18-20-years-old; pre-marriage and family planning seminar at POPCOM Office; Certificate of No Marriage from PSA and marriage license and certificate of legal capacity to be obtained from the Embassy of country of origin based in the Philippines;

Narito naman ang mga karagdagan pang requirements;

WIDOWED/WIDOWER: death certificate of the spouse;

DIVORCED: original copy of divorce decree.

Sa sandaling makumpleto ang mga dokumento ay kailangan itong isumite sa LCR. (DDC)
