Pitong kasunduan lalagdaan sa pagbisita ni Pangulong Marcos sa Japan
Pitong kasunduan ang nakatakdang sa state visit ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos sa Tokyo,Japan sa susunod na linggo.
Ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), ang biyahe ng pangulo ay mula February 8 hanggang 12 na kapapalooban ng pulong kay Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at audience kay Emperor Naruhito.
Sinabi ni DFA Assistant Secretary for Asian and Pacific Affairs Neal Imperial, layon ng biyahe na mas mapalakas pa ang ugnayan ng Pilipinas at Kapan sa iba’t ibang larangan.
“The Department of Foreign Affairs considers the President’s visit to Japan as consequential. Japan is the first country with which the Philippines has forged a strategic partnership and is only one of two strategic partners of the Philippines, the other one being Vietnam,” ayon kay Imperial.
Makakasama ng pangulo sa nasabing state visit si First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos.
Kasama din sa delegasyon sina daitng Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, House Speaker Martin Romualdez, DFA Secretary Enrique Manalo, Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno, Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual, Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla, Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, Special Assistant to the President Anton Lagdameo Jr., at Communications Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil.
