Suspek sa Dacer at Corbito murder case naaresto matapos magtago ng 22-taon
Matapos ang 22 na taon pagtatago sa batas, nadakip na ng otoridad ang dating miyembro ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na umano’y suspek sa pagpatay sa mga biktimang sina Salvador Dacer at Emmanuel Corbito sa Makati City noong Nobyembre 24,2000 inanunsyo ni National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Regional Director, Major General Jonnel C. Estomo.
Kinilala ang akusado na si dating SPO1 William Reed III y Flores,57, na naaresto sa Brgy. Poblacion, Pulilan, Bulacan dakong ala-1:10 ng hapon nitong Enero 22.
Pinuri ni RD Estomo ang matagumpay na pagsisilbi ng warrant of arrest joint ng mga tauhan ng RIU7-Cebu CIT, Pulilan MPS, RIU3, RIU NCR, CTD IG, TSD IG, Cebu CIU, Cebu CPO, at RSOG NCRPO laban sa tinaguriang National Level Most Wanted Person with Reward.
Ayon sa report may nakabinbin na warrant of arrest ang akusado para sa double murder na may kaugnayan sa pagpaslang kina Dacer at Corbito.
Wala rin inirekomenda ang korte na kaukulang piyansa para sa pansamantalang paglaya ng suspek.
Nabatid pa sa ulat na si Reed ay kabilang sa listahan ng Most Wanted Persons (National Level) na nakasaad sa DILG Memorandum Circular No 2003-106 sa petsa na Enero 10, 2023 na may P250,000 na reward.
Pansamantalang nakakulong ang suspek sa RSOG detention facility sa Camp Bagong Diwa,Bicutan sa Taguig City.
