26 na tauhan ng Coast Guard sumailalim sa Water Search and Rescue Training na idinaos sa sa Lucena City
Dalawampu’t anim na tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Southern Luzon ang matagumpay na nakatapos ng Basic Life Saving (BLS) at Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) Training.
Ang limang araw na training ay idinaos sa Lucena City, Quezon Province.
Ang 26 na miyembro ay pawang mula sa Coast Guard Station Northern Quezon, Coast Guard Station Marinduque, at Coast Guard Station Southern Quezon.
Mayroon ding 10 mula sa CDRRMO Lucena, isang Philippine Air Force Reservist at 2 staff ng isang beach resort.
Ang limang araw na training ay kinapapalooban ng Basic Life Saving (BLS) kasama ang proper application ng cardiopulmonary (CPR) at rescue techniques gaya ng water entries and exit, application ng lifesaving technique, underwater knot tying, underwater swim at rubber boat recovery techniques.
Ang pagsasanay ay pinangunahan ng Special Operations Group (SOG-STL) at Coast Guard Medical Team (CGMED-STL). (DDC)
