CJ Gesmundo pinangunahan ang idinaos na National Summit on Access to Justice sa Bacolod City
Dumalo si Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo sa National Summit on Access to Justice na idinaos sa Bacolod City.
Si Gesmundo ang nagsilbing keynote speaker sa aktibidad na may temang “REIMAGINING THE ART OF LEGAL EMPOWERMENT – National Summit on Access to Justice through Cultivating Approaches on Legal Aid”.
Ayon sa SC, layunin ng summit na makamit ang common vision na pagkakaroon ng sapat na legal aid.
Sa kaniyang talumpati sinabi ni Gesmundo na ang legal profession ay isang serbisyo publiko dahil umaasiste sila sa mga nangangailangan ng hustisya.
Pagseserbisyo aniya ito upang mahanap ang katotohanan.
“Because of this, the Court has shifted its attention to the lawyer’s ethical and social responsibilities in order to highlight what is essential in the practice of this profession.” ayon sa punong mahistrado. (DDC)
