15 menor de edad na biktima ng cybersex crime nailigtas ng mga otoridad

Nagsagawa ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa pamamagitan ng Philippine National Police – National Capital Region Police Office (PNP–NCRPO) ng entrapment and rescue operation na nagresulta ng pagkakaligtas sa 15 na kabataan na nabiktima ng cybersex.

Pinangunahan ni DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos kasama si NCRPO Chief, Brigadier General Jonnel Estomo ang naturang operasyon sa Sampaloc, Manila na iknaaresto ng dalawang hinihinalang sex traffickers na dinala na sa Women and Children Protection Center para sa dokumentasyon at pagsasampa ng kaukulang kaso.

Nabatid na 15 minor victims na nasadlak umano sa sexual exploitation online ang narescue sa operasyon.

Sinabi ni Abalos na ang administrasyon ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos ay mariing kinokondena ang cyberporn at iba pang ilegal na aktbidad na kinasasangkutan ng mga bata.

“These kinds of crimes are very disturbing, and the worst of its kind as it targets and victimizes innocent children. The impact of cybersex crimes on children are long-term and oftentimes, ruin their lives,” sabi ni Abalos.

Noong nakaraang buwan, ang DILG kasama ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Justice at ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) ay nagsama-sama sa pagtugaygay at pagsugpo sa cybersex crimes.

“We have to take seriously these kind of crimes preying on our children online and end sexual exploitation by strengthening our campaign against cyberporn and providing them safe space online, now that they are more exposed to activities done virtually in light of the restrictions brought by pandemic.

“With the help of the DOJ, DSWD, and the DICT, we can intensify our initiatives on identifying cybersex dens and be able to save our children and minors from the abuse and danger,” dugtong nito.

Nanawagan din siya sa publiko na ireport sa DILG o PNP hotlne ang kahina-hinalang mga indibiduwal na bumbiktima sa mga bata at anumang kaduda-dudang aktibidad. (Bhelle Gamboa)
