Mocha Uson naghain ng manifestation sa Comelec; mental capability ni dating VP Jejomar Binay pinasisilip

Hiniling ni dating Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Deputy Administrator Mocha Uson sa Commission on Elections(Comelec) na tignan ang mental capability ni dating Vice President Jejomar Binay na sinasabing nakararanas na ng dementia o memory disorder.

Sa isang pahinang manifestation na inihain kahapon ni Uson sa Comelec iginiit nito na wala syang anumang galit kay Binay subalit karapatan nya bilang botante at mamamayan ng bansa na isapubliko ito lalo at may posibilidad na makapasok ito sa Magic 12 sa darating na eleksyon.

“As someone who loves the country, I am concerned about the possibility that a leading candidate for the Senate may no longer be capable of fulfilling his duties to the people and the Republic after he is elected,” paliwanag ni Uson.

Aniya, sa kasalukuyan ay hindi na maayos ang kalagayan ni Binay at mapapatunayan ito sa madalang nitong paglahok sa mga campaign rallies sa nakalipas na dalawang buwan.

“For those who have been following the former Vice President’s career, his silence is completely uncharacteristic. And given the reports on his supposedly failing health, quite alarming. Mr. Binay has been among the most vocal critics of our beloved President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, yet during this period where his voice needs to be heard the most – he has stayed in the shadows,” dagdag pa nito.

Sinabi pa ni Uson na kung may dinaranas na mental disorder si Binay ay hindi dapat magbulang-bulagan dito ang Comelec at siguraduhin ang kanilang mandato na tiyakin na sinumang tumatakbo ay nasa tamang pag-iisip at kalusugan.

“this issue is not something that we can simply turn a blind eye to. The fact is Mr. Binay is among those who have a good chance of landing one of the twelve vacant seats in the Senate. This is a situation that must not be taken lightly, as it would be a grave injustice to the voters — and to the country ultimately — if he is elected but could not perform his functions because he is not physically or mentally able to do so. It would also be a tragedy if many of the other qualified and deserving candidates are denied the opportunity to serve the country by someone who is no longer able to function to the full requirements of the office of Senator”paliwanag pa ni Uson.

Umaasa si Uson na hindi totoo ang lumalabas na report na may dementia si Binay gayunpaman kung maging totoo ito ay dapat maging transparent sa issue ang Comelec.
