P600M na halaga ng mga pekeng produkto nakumpiska ng Customs sa Cavite

Nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service-Intellectual Property Rights Division (CIIS-IPRD), ang mga smuggled na produkto na nagkakahalaga ng P600 million sa Kawit, Cavite.

Sa bisa ng Letter of Authority (LOA) na inisyu ni BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero, tinungo ng mga otoridad ang warehouse sa Toclong-San Sebastian Road, Kawit, Cavite.

Natuklasan sa warehouse ang mga motorcycle accessories, footwears at apparels na may brand ng Nike, Adidas, at Gucci.

Agad kinumpiska ang mga produkto sa ilali ng Republic Act (R.A.) No. 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).

Patuloy din ang imbestigasyon sa posibleng pagsasampa ng kasong paglabag sa Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (RA 8293). (DDC)
