P50M halaga ng imported na sibuyas, frozen seafoods at cosmetic products nakumpiska ng Customs

Nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs ang iba’t ibang mga imported na kargamento sa isang warehouse sa Bulacan.

Sinalakay ng mga tauhan ng Manila International Container Port- Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (MICP-CIIS), Intelligence Group, at Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Task Force Aduana ang warehouse ng Elite Globus Primeholdings Corp. sa Bahay Pare Road, Sitio 4, Brgy. Bahay Pare, Meycauayan, Bulacan sa bisa ng Letter of Authority (LOA).

Doon nadiskubre ang 2,000 sako ng imported na pulang sibuyas, ilang kahon ng frozen seafood, at mga cosmetic at health products na walang permit mula sa Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Kinumpiska ng Customs ang mga cosmetic at health products dahil sa paglabag sa Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) at FDA regulation.

Binigyan naman ng 15-araw ang may-ari ng warehouse para magpakita ng proof of payment ng duties at taxes sa mga imported na sibuyas.

Ipinasara din pansamantala ang ang warehouse. DDC
