Warehouse sinalakay ng BOC sa Valenzuela; mga ilegal na cosmetic products nakumpiska

Sinalakay ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs – Manila International Container Port (BOC-MICP) ang isang warehouse sa Valenzuela City na imbakan ng mga imported cosmetic products, vitamins, at supplements.

Ayon sa BOC, ang mga produkto mula sa nasabing warehouse ay walang approval mula sa Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Sa bisa ng Letter of Authority (LOA) na nilagydaan ni Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero, nagtungo ang team ng BOC-CIIS, Coast Guard at National Bureau of Investigation sa warehouse 8 Malakas St., Corner Santiago St., Valenzuela City.

Natuklasan sa loob ng warehouse ang mga imported cosmetic products, vitamins, at supplements na pawang walang FDA permits.

Ayon kay Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence Group of BOC, Raniel T. Ramiro, dinala sa BOC premises ang mga nakumpiskang produkto at sasailalim ito sa inspeksyon habang hinihintay ang Warrant of Seizure and Detention (WSD).

Ang pagkumpiska sa mga produkto ay dahil sa paglabag sa Section 1113 at Section 117 ng Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA). (DDC)
