Apat na kilo ng ngipin ng pating nakumpiska ng Bureau of Customs

Nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs Cebu-Subport of Mactan ang kargamento na naglalaman ng mga ngipin ng pating.

Natuklasan ang kargamento na naglalaman ng 4.98 kilograms ng Shark Teeth na idineklarang Plastic Components para sa Fashion Accessories.

Sa isinagawang physical examination, kinumpirma ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) na Shark Teeth nga ang laman ng kargamento.

wala rin itong karampatang Import Permit mula sa BFAR.

Kinumpiska ang mga kargamento dahil sa paglabag sa Section 1113 (F), (I), at (L-3,4,&5) in relation to Sections 117 at 1400 ng Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).

“The Subport ensures that regulated goods are released only when covered with proper permits and clearances. The importer in this case did not secure a permit from the BFAR prior to the importation and intentionally misdeclared the goods to get away with it. We remind our importers and their representatives to properly declare their goods, and secure the necessary permits and clearances, to prevent seizures,” ayon kay Mactan Port Collector Gerardo A.
