3 suspek arestado sa ilegal na pagbebenta ng baril sa Makati City
Napasakamay ng mga operatiba ng District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) ng Southern Police District ang tatlong suspek kabilang ang isang media practitioner na sangkot sa umano’y ilegal na pagbebenta ng mga baril sa kasagsagan ng election gun ban, sa ikinasang buy-bust operation sa harapan ng isang apartelle sa Kalayaan Avenue, Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City.
Ang mga naaresto ay kinilalang sina alyas Patrick, 26-anyos; alyas Gaynor, 52-anyos, isang media practitioner; at alyas Rodrigo, 52-anyos.
Nag-ugat ang operasyon sa report ng Regular Confidential Informant kaugnay ng umano’y ilegal na mga aktibidad ni alyas Patrick at mga kasabwat nito sa Metro Manila dahilan upang magkasa ng entrapment operation ang mga tauhan ng DSOU-SPD at suporta mula sa District Intelligence Division (DID), Intelligence Section, District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB), at Makati City Police Station, base sa intelihensiyang ibinigay ng MFC, DI.
Nakumpiska kay alyas Patrick ang tatlong units ng caliber 5.56 rifles (Bushmaster and Remington), tig-tatlong 5.56 magazines at black rifle bags, marked money, Android cellphone, apat na firearm registration cards, susi, paper bag, brown carton box, at puting Suzuki Ciaz sedan (WBA 3394) na may mga dokumento.
Nakuha nman kay alyas Gaynor ang isang unit Glock 21 Gen 4 caliber .45 pistol, apat na magazines, 16 na bala, IDs kasma ang LTOPF, firearm registration, permit to carry, at press credentials, tatlong Android phones, susi at remote para sa Honda CR-V, black sling bag, green Honda CR-V na may plakang XFE-721, at itim na side holster.
Habang narekober kay alyas Rodrigo ang isang extended caliber .45 magazine, dalawang Taurus 9mm magazines, 13 na bala ng naturang baril, ammunition case, sling bag, LTOPF ID, at Huawei cellphone.
Ang mga nakumpiskang items ay dinala sa DSOU, SPD office para sa dokumentasyon na gagamitin sa pagsasampa ng kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), in relation to Republic Act 7166 and COMELEC Resolution 11067 (Gun Ban) laban sa mga suspek.
Samantala, prinisinta nina NCRPO Regional Director MGen Anthony A. Aberin at SPD Acting District Director BGen Joseph R. Arguelles sa media ang mga nakumpiskang mga baril at bala mula sa matagumpay na operasyon ng otoridad sa SPD Multi- Purpose Hall, Lawton Avenue, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
