Register Anywhere Project ilulunsad ng Comelec

Lumagda ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) ng kasunduan sa National University para sa pagdaraos ng Register Anywhere Project sa unibersidad.

Kabilang sa pumirma sa memorandum of understanding si Comelec chairman George Garcia, Executive Director Teofisto Elnas Jr., at Deputy Executive Director for Operations Rafael Olaño sa panig ng poll body.

Habang ang mga kinatawan naman ng NU ay sina Executive Vice President Rosauro Manuel, Executive Director for NU Fairview Ricky R. Lawas at Executive Director for NU MOA Leonora E. Concepcion.

Ayon kay Garcia, ang Registration Anywhere Project sa mga education institutions ay makapanghihikayat sa mga kabataan na magparehistro at bumoto.

Sinabi ni Comelec Spokesperson Rex Laudiangco na ilulunsad din ng Comelec ang RAP sa senado at kamara sa Jan. 25 at sa Department of Social Welfare and Development sa Jan. 23. (DDC)
